Weeeeeeeeekend

Erik and I basically spent the whole weekend together (also with my flatty Mara of course) and it was some crazy bonding time. Here are some things we did on one of our best weekends ever:

Fabric is huge. The whole place is like a maze and it took us a few walks around the rooms to get the slightest idea of where everything was. There were tons of bands and djs playing the whole night but we caught (the ones I care about/remember) were These New Puritans, Lethal Bizzle, Crookers, Teenage Bad Girl, and Boys Noize. We didn’t even know who Teenage Bad Girl was but they blew us away… They played their own stuff off their album “Cocette”… Ripping electro dance music played live with Ableton (I’m guessing), synths and a mic. It’s so great to see people do this shit live instead of pushing buttons on CDJs or Serato like Boys Noize (who they opened for) and even Justice the week before. Teenage Bad Girl - the next BIG thing.

Next morning we went tubing/walking/shopping around London and got mesmerized by the amazing clothes and such in 59 and other stores. Later on we met up with Mara, Leo, and Kam-mei at the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park. (by the way I bumped into Hedi Slimane!!! I TOUCHED HIS HAND!!) Daft Punk, Klaxons, CSS, LCD Soundsystem, Klaxons, Simian Mobile Disco, New Young Pony Club, list goes on and on… Klaxons and Daft Punk were fucking amazing obviously. But Daft Punk. Fuck. There had to be 15000 people there… It was the biggest crowd of people I’ve EVER seen in real life. I can’t even describe the rest really… Just watch the youtube videos (even though it’s not the bestest part). Peeing in a beer cup in the middle of 15000 people = real life.

Next day we went to do some more exploring. Spittlefield Market, Brick Lane, Hoxton, trying to find the fucking laundromat… More contemplating life and endless walking. Amazing.

Hiya friends!
